The Wagga Wagga Fencing Club
Head Coach

Julian first picked up a sword as a part of the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme while at High School. It was when he was at university that he began to train for competition. Firstly with Wagga’s Tony Dominguez and then later in Sydney with Italian Master Angelo Santangelo.
Not wanting to loose touch with the sport he loves Julian began teaching through the Riverina Community College on his return to Wagga. In 2007, with the support of his students, he formed the Wagga Wagga Fencing Club.
He recently ticked off one from the bucket list in competing in the 2018 Commonwealth Veterans Championships.
Julian has competed and coached many different sports and brings a fun element to training sessions.
